The Residence is a perfect example of how an independently owned and operated hotel should work.

In response to a number of requests and enquiries received from existing guests and corporate clients for a facility at the hotel that would allow for longer stays we simply got on and built it. There were no long discussions, or board meetings, no focus groups or marketing plans.
We thought that it was a great idea and did it.
Of course there was a great deal of planning, design concepts, and even an ‘ergonomic study’ (of sorts, we actually just asked a corporate client what they would like to see in the new suite, and then we worked out how to fit everything in).
Then we bought the best available furniture, and white goods including Bosch cooking appliances and instructed our in-house maintenance team to fit everything.
The result is a facility unique in Guildford, a private ‘residence’ with access to all of the hotels facilities, bars and restaurants etc. and a genuine feeling of independence for guests wishing to stay a little longer than a traditional visit, or enjoy complete self-sufficiency in a space to ‘come home to’.
We have already had enquiries and bookings from an estate agent acting on behalf of a couple visiting Guildford ahead of a permanent move to the area, a University academic, and a senior engineer working on the A3 Wisley by-pass project.
This really is a case of ‘you asked and we delivered’, a facility that is already proving to be immensely popular, and a wonderful addition to the available accommodation stock in Guildford.
