We love welcoming well-behaved dogs to Mandolay, and we are delighted to introduce a number of dog-friendly facilities for our four-legged guests, and their families.
Pet-friendly facilities are becoming increasingly popular, we are fortunate enough to have the space to accommodate their every need, and a quick stroll down Guildford High Street will show that it’s not just Mandolay that considers itself dog-friendly, we are a town of pet lovers and doggie worshippers.
Every comfort has been arranged to make your family feel right at home and remember, we love nothing more than sharing images of happy doggies on our social media accounts, so please let us have names and pictures…we might even make them into TikTok superstars!
Here at Mandolay, we know the difference between ‘pet tolerant’ and pet-friendly, we appreciate how important your pet pals are to you and we are determined to make sure that they also enjoy the greatest possible doggie vacation.
Of course, for a number of reasons it’s important for us to stress a couple of very quick, but important points.
For the comfort of all of our guests, dogs are only allowed in certain bedrooms and parts of the hotel, and all ‘Doggie Bookings’ must be confirmed directly with the hotel to ensure the availability of appropriate room types.

Accommodations & Amenities
- We welcome up to 2 dogs per dog-friendly bedroom
- A flat rate of £25 per night applies regardless of whether you bring 1 or 2 dogs, with 2 being the maximum per room.
- Each room includes a complimentary doggy hamper featuring:
- Gourmet treats
- Dog bed, blanket
- Water bowl
- You’re welcome to bring your dog’s own bed if they prefer their familiar comforts
- Our dog-friendly rooms are available in specific room types only.
Safety & Supervision
- Dogs must be on a lead in all shared areas out of consideration for other guests
- Dogs cannot be left unsupervised in rooms at any time
- Maximum occupancy is strictly 2 dogs per room
- Unfortunately, dogs are not permitted in Restaurant
- We welcome small/ medium dogs up to 25 kg but do ask that they are well-behaved and do not impact any guests who might prefer to have a dog-free break.
Cleanliness & Care
- We provide a dog blanket for basic cleaning
- If your dog enjoys muddy walks, please bring an additional blanket for cleaning
- To maintain our furnishings:
- Dogs are not permitted on beds
- Dogs must stay off all soft furnishings
- These rules apply even if your dog is allowed on furniture at home

Guildford and the surrounding area of Outstanding Natural Beauty a doffer a dog walkers paradise, from neatly manicured parks and gardens to the raw wilderness of the Surrey Hills, there is a huge choice of places to visit and enjoy with your four-legged friends.
Just a five minute stroll from Mandolay is the glorious Stoke Park, full of exciting features for you to explore, and just a little further from the hotel, at the bottom end of town is the River Wey, with its easily negotiated tow path.
