Every wedding is a celebration of love, and a declaration of your undying commitment to each other, and whatever style, or service you choose, this is, and always will be your day.
You might have imagined every detail of the entire event, from Save the Date Notifications and Wedding Stationery to Table Plans, Menu Choices, and the all-important, First Dance.
Or you might favour a more informal approach, a get-together of loved ones, and friends, with none of the ‘fuss’, associated with traditional weddings.
Then again, you could prefer a combination of the two styles, formal in the day, and unrestrained spontaneity come evening time.

Mandolay has been proud to host gay, lesbian, and same sex marriages for many years, and we count ourselves as active, and enthusiastic friends of the entire LGBTQ+ community. As long-term, and continuing sponsors of Pride in Surrey, we consider Mandolay as a safe venue, not just for weddings and parties, but for conferences, and workshops.
We are a 4 Star hotel, independently accredited by the AA as among the highest rated properties in Surrey, and part of this accolade is attributed to our management style, and the individual team members that work so hard to provide such exceptional service standards.
We were among the first hotels in the area to host Civil Ceremonies, and then Same Sex Marriages, in some cases both, for the same couples, and today we are delighted and honoured to continue the fine tradition of serving everyone in our community.
Our 8 event spaces can cater comfortably for parties between 10, and 300, so we really do mean it when we say, ‘we have a room for everyone’, not just figuratively, but literally! Our Suites, and Garden Area are licenced for Weddings, and Civil Partnership Ceremonies of up to 500 guests, but we have spaces to suit any size, and style of observance, from the most intimate, to grand scale.
A genuine experience in hosting same sex marriages has also helped us to build a network of trusted suppliers for every service, and speciality that you might require, from suits, and dresses, to DJs and Lighting Professionals, Set Designers and Stationers, to Jewellers, and even Travel Agents.
When it comes to themes and styles, we have seen, and delivered every type of Special Occasion, but we are always thrilled to take on fresh challenges, so please do not be shy…tell us what you really want.

OAK ROOM
‘Perfect, just perfect. The room looked wonderful and was just the right size for our wedding’.
There is no doubting the intimate delight of The Oak Room. This is the ideal space for wedding ceremonies and dinners of up to 30 guests, the room is flooded with natural light, fully air conditioned or heated, oak panelled and genuinely unique in Guildford.
Surrey Suite

Licenced for weddings and civil ceremonies of up to 200, and with capacity to comfortably seat 100 guests for a wedding breakfast, or more for an evening buffet, this space is truly flexible and ‘built for parties’ with its own dance floor and integral sound system.
The three rooms comprising the Surrey Suite can be used individually, or quickly and easily opened up to create a single span area with its own bar, comfortable seating and exclusive facilities separate from other parts of the hotel. Access to the private garden, terrace and Gazebo Lawn is via ground level double-doors.
Gazebo Lawn
Licenced for weddings of up to 180 guests, and the perfect location for cocktail receptions, or pre-ceremony drinks, our Gazebo lawn is indeed unique in Guildford.
Mandolay Suite

From the moment your guests set foot on the steps leading to the suite, past our bespoke ‘flower wall’ and beneath the stunning, 200 drop chandelier, they will be transported to a wedding venue like no other.
The drama of entering a wood panelled room, with tables set to your precise requirements, chairs complete with silken sashes and a flower festooned top table, takes the breath away. You can imagine the scale of a suite capable of hosting ceremonies of up to 500 seated guests, but you will not fully appreciate the splendour and at the same time the glamour and intimacy that we are able to achieve in this unique space.
